KB61: Eliminating "stop marks"

Category: Control Considerations | Updated: 6/12/2007 8:20:21 AM | Owner: The Professor | Read: 5228 (Last: 9/21/2019 8:34:34 AM)

Resolution

Automatically variable speed units can be equipped with a “creep speed” mode so that material does not stop in the straightener even during momentary line shutdowns. Material stopped in a straightener will show distinct “stop marks” which can be unacceptable to bright finish or painted parts.
