KB60: Auto-variable speed

Category: Control Considerations | Updated: 6/12/2007 8:20:12 AM | Owner: The Professor | Read: 5071 (Last: 9/22/2019 5:52:06 PM)

Resolution

Using automatically variable speed drives (such as D.C., AC Frequency, AC vector or hydraulic) improves control of the free loop significantly. Recycling is at the least reduced and at the best eliminated. Gradual acceleration and deceleration replaces stop to full speed to stop.
