KB55: Elevating straighteners

Category: Control Considerations | Updated: 6/12/2007 8:19:30 AM | Owner: The Professor | Read: 5171 (Last: 9/18/2019 8:20:33 PM)

Resolution

People tend to rebel at digging holes in the floor if it can possibly be avoided. You can see where elevating the stock line height would serve the same purpose. While elevating the press is often impractical, some gain can be made by elevating the stock line height of the straightener alone, either at manufacture or as a field modification. Remember, however, stability and security, and adjustability and serviceability.
